Carlo has acquired a long standing experience in the fields of IT & TLC law, IT security and technology stransfer. has dealt with some well-known press covered cases, such as some software antitrust actions (in particular case T-201/04[R] at the EC Court of Justice) and the case which ended with the first Italian judgment on the millennium bug.--
He is specialized in commercial and civil law, mainly in the contractual area, and has a particular emphasis on Information Technology. He is lecturer in civil law at the Milan "Univeristà degli studi" University and author of several publications, in particular covering the Information Technology, Data Protection, Software Copyright and Patents fields.
He recently dealt with privacy in company and public authorities context, particularly in telecommunication and sanitary field, and has expanded his IP practice, dealing with Trademarks, Domain names and Copyright protection. He appointed consultant of the EU sponsored study "Intellectual Property Rights for ICT-producing SMEs", coordinated by IDC. Also he has been active in IT standardization bodies, and is the technical appointed person within UNINFO's JTC1 Committee.
He is the Italian founding member and Technical Offices of euroITcounsel, a network of lawyers specialized in Information Technology Law, and of IACT (International Alliance for Compatible Technology). Moreover he is member of the Italian team, as well as the legal team, of the Free Software Foundation Europe and of the MILug (Milan Linux User Group).
As former columnist of Linea EDP he wrote on law and IT&C Technology for the general public and is still active in writing on IT law for the general public. From time to time he writes articles on law and public administration, information security, Linux, free and open source software (and on computer law in general) for other magazines and reviews, including Interlex.
All in all, he is quite a nice guy.

Lorenzo is specialized in Administrative Law and Gas & Energy. He followed important cases on public procurements and qualification of public entities and realization of termoelectric power plants, following all the substantial and procedural aspects up to the defense before the EC Court of Justice.
He grew a wide experience with regards to the incorporation of companies with mixed public and private shareholders; he assisted Project Financing deals, as well as important projects of public procurement new contracts. Moreover he follows privacy cases (especially in the public sector), Sanitary Law, Urban Development Law and Energy. Former scholar in administrative law at the Milan "Università degli Studi" and Luigi Bocconi Universities, he wrote several articles regarding public procurements, privacy and administrative proceedings. Moreover, he wrote on international and national magazines about the administrative organization of Italy. Finally, he was lecturer in many seminars and conferences organized by "Il Sole 24 Ore" and of other research institutes in the fields of his specialization.
Lorenzo is also active in expanding the Firm's practice with clients coming from the New Europe and the former Soviet Union countries.
